SSC Recruiting Junior Engineer (Civil/Mechanical / Electrical/ QSC) through Combined All India Open Examination. Last Date. 28-3-2014 (4-4-2014)

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to hold a Combined All India Open Examination on 25th May,2014 for recruitment to the posts of JUNIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL/ ELECTRICAL/ MECHANICAL/ QSC) in different Departments namely –Central Public Works Department(CPWD),Border Roads Organisation(BRO),Military Engineering Service(MES) and Central Water Commission(CWC).The Eligible candidate who are willing to sit for the examination may apply online through the official website of SSC.Qualification and other norms and are given below —

Qualification for the Different Posts-
1. Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD
Qualification: The Candidates must pass Diploma in Civil , Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 27 years.

2. Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in Department of Posts
Qualification: Candidates must pass 03years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in MES.

3. Junior Engineer (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical) in Border Roads Organization (BRO)
Qualification: Candidates must pass 03years Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering./ Mechanical Engineering.and also require 2years working experience in the relevant field.
Age Limit: Maximum 32 years for Junior Engineers (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage.

4. Junior Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ QS&C) in Military Engineering Service (MES)
Qualification:  Degree in relevant discipline or 03yrs Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.and also 2years working experience in the relevant field.
For discipline QS&C — 3years diploma in Civil engineering/Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional – II of the institute of Surveyors (India).
Age Limit: Candidates age must be between 18 to 27 Years for Junior Engineers(Quantity Surveying and Contract) in MES

5. Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage
Qualification: The Candidates must pass Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Age Limit: At most 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) of Ministry of Defence.

N.B: Upper age relaxation for SC/ST - 5years; OBC- 3years; PWD- 10years; Ex-Serviceman and Others - As per norms.

Selection Process: The selection will be through Written test of 500 marks and Interview of 100 marks. Written test will be in two parts. Part-I will be objective type (OMR) and Part-II will be conventional Type.
Examination will be hold at various centres of SSC. For West Bengal, the examination centre will be at Kolkata.

Fee for Examinition: For general and OBC candidates shall pay examination fee of Rs.100/- only. The candidates should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of Challan or through SBI net banking.

N.B: NO FEE FOR SC/ST/PH/ EX-SERVICEMAN AND ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES.

Appling Process: The Candidated Who are interested and eligible can submit their application only through online mode from the official website of SSC — http://ssconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php No other mode of application will be entertained.
Candidates shall first complete the Part-I Registration and then shall proceed to Part-II Registration. Before Part-II Registration, candidates will require to pay above prescribed fee through NET Banking or through bank transaction by means of Challan (offline mode). Candidates exempted from fee payment will be skipped from the fee payment option.
Candidates will also require to uploads their scan copy of signature and passport size photograph during Part-II Registration.
After final and successful submission of online Application form, candidates shall note down their registration number as well as print-out the system generated Registration Slip for future correspondence.
DO NOT SEND ANY HARD COPY OF APPLICATION/ SYSTEM GENERATED SLIP TO THE COMMISSION.

Important Dates: The last date to submit the Part-I Registration is 02-04-2014 (5PM) and last date to submit the Part-II Registration is 04-04-2014 (5PM) only in case of candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
